DeafBlind Services Minnesota - Corporate ID
|
DeafBlind Services Minnesota was originally
founded in 1986 as an incorporated non-profit, and is dedicated to serving deafblind children, adults and their
families throughout the state of Minnesota
DBSM
provides similar services to children and adults who have a significant
dual sensory loss of vision and hearing (deafblindness). They also
provide independent living skills training and supports to those experiencing deafness and
hard of hearing.
Following a change of ownership and management, DBSM turned to White DG for branding and design services. Needed were a new logo, corporate materials, and internal and external signage.
The DBSM logo visually represents the path a person with deafblindness takes as they learn the skills necessary to become independent individuals. This design also takes into consideration the need for the organization to be viewed as a service agency.
The contrast of white on black for the "D" and "B" and black on white for the "S" and "M" aid in letter distinction for those with partial visual impairment. As well, the letters "DBSM" lead out of the box, representing the organization's approach to the services they provide - to grow beyond ones confined borders.
